How to Look Emmy Award Show Awesome

The Emmy Awards were the kick off of the fall award season, and while some stars like Amy Poehler, Katie Holmes and Zooey Deschanel, looked utterly horrendous - other A-listers rose to the occaion.
However, if you want to see Emmy Night Beauty done right, check out our two favorite looks of the night:

Olivia Munn, Perfect Couples and The Daily Show
Our Rating: Four Emmys of Approval
We love Munn on the Daily Show, but usually aren’t a fan of her style choices, but wow, did NARS International Lead Makeup Artist Uzo created an amazing look for Munn’s Emmy appearance.

About the look: "This look was all about channeling Olivia's inner 1940s 'siren'," said Uzo, NARS International Lead Makeup Artist. "A strong arched eyebrow was coupled with a very feminine lip for a modern look while the skin is luminous and highlighted."

Get the Look:
STEP #1: Prep the canvas with NARS PRO-PRIME Pore Refining Primer
STEP #2: Emphasize the eyes with a dramatic shadow in Key Largo (duo) and Fez (single).
STEP #3: Then outline the rims with NARS Via Veneto Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner and complete the seductive effect with Larger Than Life Lengthening Mascara.
STEP #4: Sweep on NARS Orgasm Illuminator and NARS Orgasm Blush to accentuate the cheekbones and highlight the facial contours.
STEP #5: Outline the lips using NARS Rosebud Lip Liner Pencil, then filling inwards, apply Montego Bay Pure Matte Lipstick and top with Piree Larger Than Life Lip Gloss to create a halo of shimmer.

Nina Dobrev, Vampire Diaries
Our Rating: Three Emmys of approval
This blood-sucking babe appeared on the red carpet sporting a gorgeous red Donna Karen gown paired compliment by old Hollywood wavy hair, styled by Riawna Capri of Nine Zero One salon in Beverly Hills.

About the look: “Nina's red Donna Karen dress basically chose this effortless look itself. The dress was so beautiful and powerful, we wanted something loose, soft and romantic”, said Riawna. Here are steps from Riawna on how to re-create this un-done look at home:

Get the Look:
STEP #1: Start by applying UNITE Blow and Set Lotion ($26.25: Unitehair.com) and blow dry hair straight, creating lots of body and lift.
STEP #2: Once complete, set hair with Velcro rollers and leave in for 10 minutes.
STEP #3: Next, remove the rollers and using a 1 ¼ inch curling iron, curl and set hair by pinning into horizontal sections.
STEP #4: After you’re dressed and makeup is applied, remove the pins and brush hair off to one side using a Mason Pearson brush. Lift the bang area and lightly tease with a rattail comb, spraying with a strong holding spray like UNITE Session Max ($29.95: Unitehair.com).
STEP #5:  Lastly, finish the look with a shine spray to give hair a radiant glow. Try UNITE Shina Mist Spray ($26.25: Unitehair.com).
