How Skin Can Survive the Winter Masses

The holidays are over, and now the only thing left in NYC are the chaotic tourists.  They seem to stop every five feet to take a picture or revele at a building that has been there for hundreds of years – c’mon keep it moving people.

Anyway, to keep myself from going postal, I like to travel with a pampering pack to help me keep sanity and my face feeling fresh:

1. Begin with Olay Wet Cleansing Cloths—Normal Skin.  I like them because they lift away that dirty, grimy feeling that you get from walking around the city during the holidays.  This is a great one because it cleanses the skin without a sink.  For less than five bucks you can simply swoosh your face clean and toss the towelette in the trash.

 2.  Next apply an antioxidant serum.  I like Skinceutials Phloretin CF Gel which is a potent cocktail of phloretin, vitamin c and ferulic acid. For those of you who don’t know, antioxidant serums protect the skin from free radicals like pollution or cigarette smoke and environmental factors such as sun.  This antioxidant trio is pricey, around $150 – which is less than the price of botox down the line – and actually accelerates cell turnover and stimulates collagen synthesis to boost skin’s structure for a firmer, brighter complexion

3.  For my third and final step, I like to lock in the hydration with a rich moisturizer.  I love the Bio-Performance Advanced Super Revitalizing Cream from Shiseido.  This cream is a bit price, at $75 bucks, but a little bit goes a long way.  Plus it awakens skin to make it more resilient and firm – you see any wrinkles, I thought not!

So now your skin is set to battle the holiday masses, I just hope your psyche can keep up.
