Makeup Bag Must-Haves for DYI Wedding Makeup

Wedding season is in full swing and between bachelorette weekends, showers, engagement gifts and of course, a lavish wedding gift – there’s not a ton of dough left over for wedding day makeup.  The essential components of bridesmaid’s make are natural tones in long-lasting formulas to perfectly accompany your dress without upstaging the bride.  We’ve picked out the most luxe lip, lid and luminizing products that we are totally obsessed with, to really give you something to celebrate on wedding day.

Sheer Bliss
Choose a delicate shade with a hint of shimmer for high-shine wattage that enhances your pucker.  Jouer SPF 15 Lip Sheers are loaded with a rich pigment and are loaded with Vitamin E and Ale Vera to lock in moisture.  The easiest way to pull off a smooth, plump pout is to apply straight from the tube, then blot, reapply, then blot again, then top off with a Jouer Cosmetics Lip Gloss.  The gloss adds a shimmery hint of color to accentuate your radiant smile.

Eye Catching Shadows
Enhance your eyes with a gentle shimmer to brighten your face without overwhelming your canvas.  For a day in front of the camera, we recommend beginning with mark Please Hold Eye Primer to create a strong base. Next, draw mark What a Line Felt Tip Eyeliner in Wee Hours onto the top lash lines. Then, blended mark I-Mark Wet/Dry Eye Shadow in Jazzy onto lids, followed by a dusting of Lotus in your creases.  Top off the look with one coat of mark Lash All You Want High-Volume Mascara for a dramatic, yet natural special effects.

All Day Nude
It’s possible to look sophisticated and edgy as you bare it all – naturally we are talking about your complexion.  If you are going to be photographed in the sun all day, then be sure to seal skin with a mattifying powder.  We are going for a look that’s glowing, not shiny so we always rely on the mattifying magic of Jouer Cosmetics.  If you need a touch of sunkissed color, the bronzer is great for contouring and warming up skin tones.  For a softer focus, hide skin imperfections with Jouer Mattifying Translucent Powder.  Apply by lightly dusting the Translucent Powder all over the fact, with extra focus on the t-zone.  Add a sweep of Mattifying Bronzer on the cheekbones and forehead where the sun would not naturally hit.

Jewels on Your Fingers
Weddings are the perfect time to break out your finest sparklers, so this fall, make room in the vault for Deborah Lippmann’s latest line, Jewel Heist.  This limited edition collection includes Lippmann’s holographic glitter range for which she has been synonymous in addition to never-before seen shimmery crèmes.  Naturally our favorite shade is Fake It Til You Make It, a glimmery gilded gold.  Make a statement on your nails without upstaging the bride.
