How to Create a Last Minute Costume

If you managed to escape the surprise snowstorm unscathed, then congratulations are in order.  If you were planning on a scoring a deal on a last minute costume, then you got screwed.

If you need a little help in the creativity department then check out our favorite costumes made in 20 minutes or less.  And the best part is that if you are feeling self-conscious, you can easily take the off.

1. SIRI the iPhone attendant is fun, SIRI the costume is awesome.
What you need:
  • Black poster board
  • A silver indelible pen
  • A sheet of silver metallic paper (tin foil is a good backup)
  • String
Bring it to life:
1.  Cut out a circle of the silver metallic paper and draw a microphone in the middle.
2.  Draw a text bubble from SIRI that says, “How may I help you” (or anything hilarious)
3. Accessorize the top with a service provider, 3G and battery strength
4. Attach the string to the top corners and you have an instant SIRI costume
Notes: This is especially perfect if you are in fact, someone’s assistant.

2.  A Nerd: My Pokémon brings all the nerds to the yard, and they're like you wanna trade cards
What you need:
  • Collared shirt
  • Glasses
  • Pens
  • Jeans

Bring it to life:
1.  Button your collard shirt all the way up
2.  Put some tape on your glasses
3.  Bulk up your pocket with some pens
4.  Hike up your jeans as high as they go (the more sock exposed, the better)

3. Sports Fan: Touchdown!
What you need:
  • Jersey
  • Jeans
  • Hat
Bring it to life:
1.  One step: get dressed.
You can me it as involved as you want, but popping a jersey over your outfit says I did remember it was Halloween, but I don’t really care that much about it.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
