How to Sport an Appropriate Office Do

Ever wonder why your manager dismisses your outfit, even though you are completing with the office's dress code? We always follow the philosophy to dress for the job you want - not the job you have. The subtext here is dress as if you had your boss' job.
To empower your presence at the workplace, we checked in with Kevin Mancuso, Nexxus Salon Hair Care Creative Director, for some styling secrets on how to polished your professional look.

He shared his expertise on how to prep, style and finish your hair for a glam office 'Do.

Prep

Step 1:  Shampoo and condition hair with hydrating formulas, like Nexxus Therappe Luxurious Moisturizing Shampoo and Humectress Ultimate Moisturizing Conditioner, designed to gently cleanse and nourish hair while adding shine and vibrancy.


Step 2:  After gently removing excess moisture from the hair with a towel, apply a golf ball-sized amount of Nexxus Mousse Plus Volumizing Foam Styler directly on damp hair for fullness, extra body and density.


Step 3:  Press mousse into hair from roots to ends for an all-over voluminous effect and hold.

Style

Step 4:  After the mousse application, blow-dry sections of hair using a large round brush. While blow-drying, use your fingertips to massage hair at the roots. Massaging hair at the roots will provide you with extra lift at the crown and help you achieve a more moveable, free-flowing style.


Step 5:  After hair is completely dry, separate it into 1-inch sections and gently roll each section using Velcro rollers.  Use larger 2-inch sized Velcro rollers for an ultra-sophisticated, voluminous style.


Step 6:  After placing each section of hair in the rollers, let it set for 5-10 minutes.

Finish

Step 7:  Gently remove each roller from the hair, being sure not to tug the rollers or pull too hard - which can cause damage and breakage.

Step 8:  Lightly mist hair with Nexxus Comb Thru Natural Design and Finishing Mist for all-day flexibility and hold.
