Backstage, Gucci Westman, went slightly darker around
the eyes with an onyx eyeshadow peppered with flecks of green. This effect was complimented by bare
skin with a subtle flush on cheeks and a nude lip for Jonathan Simkhai’s
Fall/Winter ’14 collection.
According to Westman, "this look is all about a
sporty and edgy eye. I did a take on the smoky eye and mixed different textured
shadows so that it was a little less overdone then the typical smoky eye.” She
further explained, “I used a crème shadow with a tint of green in it and mixed
it with a black powder shadow to achieve a more transparent look that really
goes with the texture of Jonathan’s clothing this season. I really wanted the
eye to be bold and to compliment the clothes, so I kept everything else
simple.”
